Company Collections
A collection groups companies together under a parent company. Once companies are grouped, you can scope a system user's access to the collection instead of naming every company individually, and reporting and audit entries can be read at the collection level.
Collections earn their keep in three situations:
A customer with multiple legal entities — one parent, several subsidiaries, each a separate Microsoft tenant
Regional or team ownership — grouping customers by the pod or region that services them
Access control at scale — giving a technician access to a defined set of customers without maintaining a per-company list
Tooltip in the product: "Collections can be used to group companies together under a parent company."
