Entra ID Groups and Group Templates

Groups are the assignment target for almost everything else in Secure — Conditional Access policies, Intune policies, App Protection, Teams policies and Purview DLP all scope to groups. Augmentt lets you create Entra ID groups across your customer tenants, and template them so every customer gets the same group structure.

From Secure > Entra ID > Groups you can:

• Create a group directly in a selected tenant

• Deploy a group from a template, or a whole set from a baseline

• Save an existing group structure as a reusable template or baseline

• Assign directory roles to role-assignable groups

Access. You need the Manage permission on Secure.

Why template your groups. If every customer has the same group names, your Conditional Access and Intune baselines can reference those names and deploy without per-customer rework. Group templating is what makes the rest of the baseline model work at scale.
